Church of Santa Cecilia in Trastevere, Rome, Italy: March 28
On March 28, 2011, 83 people began their journey to Italy from Fox Chase. On the 100th anniversary of St. Cecilia Parish in Fox Chase, they visited the Church of Santa Cecilia in Italy. This beautiful church was built on the homesite of St. Cecilia and her husband and she is also buried on this site. This group of 83 people also visited many Italian treasures, such as, the Vatican, where they saw Pope Benedict XVI, Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Venice, Assisi and much more.
